Two years ago I underwent 3 level cervical disc replacement with Prodisc C. It was amazing. I'm a physically active man and the thought of fusion was not acceptable. Recovery was stunning - it took 8 weeks to get back to work. Two years later - still no pain but as I have started to return to the gym I'm noticing increased difficulty in swallowing. As if the tissue around the discs are becoming inflamed by the exercise and the inflamed tissue is pushing on the oesophagud . I don't want to undo the great work my surgeon did - as I'm so much betters hand before . Does anyone have advise on how to rebuild muscular strength of shoulders, pecs and back without irritating the implants?
