i was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with rfa? any info you could give would be appreciated.

  • i had two levels done in january,it hurt like heck, while the nerve was dying, but i havnt had any nerve pain in awhile....
  • Rhizotomy (rfa, nerve burn) was the only thing that ever did work for me. The pain relief is not immediate but when it kicks in it lasted me for 1 year.
  • I first had a medial branch neuropothy. They are using these to try to cure my migraines. After this first procedure the pain from my migraines were much much worse. I had maybe two days of bliss. Pain free. I so did not want this to end but I was sorely mistaken. Three weeks after that they done the rfa. I am now two days into recovery and I must say if the pain would go away from the procedure it might have helped. I'm not real sure how this is going to work. I know this is only temporary and the nerves will grow back. But hopefully I will be able to have some relief. After all is said and done. I will try to keep you posted on my progress. But I was sedated for both procedures. and they done C2/3 4/5. Everyday is a stepping stone.
