Hi everyone, this is a question for anyone who has had neck surgery. When you were released to go back to work, were you able to go back to full duty? On 3-3-15 I had a 5 level posterior cervical decompression and fusion with 2 rods and 10 screws. I work full time at a super store working night shift stocking shelves. My job involves a lot of overhead reaching and lifting heavy items over my head and a lot of pushing and pulling heavy items. When I had surgery my DR. said I would not be able to do that anymore. On 4-23-15 went back for my 7 week check up and he released me on light duty with a lot of restrictions. After verbally telling both me and my husband that I can no longer do my stocking job, I found out today from the notes he wrote that he said I could go back to full duty. What if I lift something and I hurt myself ? Has anyone else had this problem? What were your limitations if you had any. Thank you.
