Difficulty quitting after TLIF

I recently had my TLIF 1 week ago. I was never a "pack a day" smoker but I do have around 3 per day. I know this is terrible for the healing process and I have tried to quit. I am in the health field, in my 20's and consume healthful diet. I guess I am wondering if anyone is dealing with the struggle? I am nervous that I will not have a successful fusion. I ensure I consume a lot of vitamin C/Calcium and protein rich food.

Is anyone dealing with this struggle?
