I had the coflex implants put in my back 2 weeks ago as of this past Tuesday. Shortly after getting home (I spent one night in the surgery center) my wife went to change the badge and there was a lot of puss mixed in with the drainage. Next morning I went into the local Er where sadly they where barely able to rebandage the area much less take care of the infection. I was just wonder what others have experienced with this I am on keflex 500 mg 2 pills 4 times a day and have seen little difference. Also who here has had problems being sent home to soon after surgery? The morning I was sent home the nurse came in removed my bandage and drain tube and said that the area was very red swollen and hot to the touch but then within 20 mins I was on my way home. This has kinda turned my world upside down I am at the point pain and stress wise that I almost feel like giving up my dr keeps telling me the antibiotics should clear this up but is also saying he may have to go in and clean the infection out would also like to hear from people that had this done I just don't know what to do

  • See the surgeon asap. How long have you been on the antibiotics?
