Endurance after laminectomy

I am almost 10 weeks after minimally invasive laminectomy L3,4,5 for severe spinal stenosis.
My endurance still very low . After hour of activity I am wiped out.
Doing physio since week 6. Walk 40 min twice a day. Started swimming, first just 2 laps make me feels I am going to drow. Now can do 8-10 laps before out of breath. I was in decent shape before surgery. Exercised daily.
When endurance will be back?
I am eating right, trying to rest often.
