I am 17 and have had low back pain for about 5 years. It has gotten much worse. I have mild-moderate scoliosis. I have been to the chiropractor but I only had short term relief. My doctor sent me to physical therapy for 4 weeks. They said I have lumbar and thoracic hypomobility. They extended my therapy for 4 more weeks. My back is tight and compressed. I need to do excersizes every day. I was prescribed 500 mg of naproxen twice a day. It gave me no relief at all. ( I have also tried the max amounts of tylenol and advil) My back is weak and I can't stand longer than an hour without being hunched over and in even more pain. I can't bend over a lot because it causes sharp low back pains. I feel like my doctor is not taking my pain seriously because of my age. I'm not out for strong meds, I just want relief. I have tried physical therapy, going to the chiropractor, and home remedies. I don't know what else to do. The pain is mild to moderate every day, but when I stand for too long or bend down it causes severe pain. Any advice?
