Spinal Cord Stimulator or Pain Meds?

My PM doctor says it's time I started thinking about whether I want to take pain medication or try a spinal cord stimulator. I've been in PM for about 3 months and have tried Facet Joint Injections & Rhizotomy since my lumbar microdisectomy failed. I know a little about the cons of taking pain meds long term. I don't know anything about SCS. I have been battling chronic pain for about 20 years now. Any advice or experience is greatly appreciated.
