Had SI injections last week- This week ESI

Any help is appreciated. I have had lower back pain creep back into my life while treating cervical spine issues. 40 pounds later this year from meds and lack of activity has put me back in PT and looking for injection help. I'm pretty strong, and can tolerate a lot of pain. Sometimes I think that is why my injections do not work. Or am I wrong? I had 2 pre- cervical ESI, no luck- and one post cervical ESI, and again no luck. So fast forward a year....a lot of re-newed old pain in lower back which took years for me to drop weight and get into shape before this happened. My lower back problems were almost gone, I felt healthy. 2013 I had surgery for cervical c6-c7 and my right shoulder scoped/repaired. Cervical surgery left me with major nerve damage, so I take Lyrica to help manage pain as well as other meds. Last week I had SI injections as PM thought that would help- nope. Still in pain. This week I scheduled an epidural in hopes of starting to walk for endurance, and drop weight.

Any luck with ESIs? Or is it luck of the draw? My Dad swears his ESI helps, and has no pain. I've never had a shot which did not produce pain afterword. I've tried three different PMs because everyone's PM is the best! Ugh. I'm still in PT. Sometimes I think he's hurting me more than helping.

Thanks in advance for your help!
