Hip pain after L4 - S1 fusion

I had an L4 - S1 fusion performed this past March which has taken away my back pain completely. As a result, I still have a pinched nerve running down my right leg, unconfirmed by my doctor but it was present before the surgery. The pain now is a little more intese than before. Imagine doing a sweet leg workout at the gym and the next day your legs are completely dead, that is how my right leg feels a majority of the time. Besides a slight increase in pain, it now feels like the muscle over my right hip joint is on the verge of cramping, regardless of seating position or amount of time spent standing. I read up on other health websites and they mention a relationship between the fusion and the sciatic nerve being pinched. I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience as well or if I just need to wait a few more weeks before everything gets right. Thanks in advance for your replies!
