I'm Sarah. Here's my timeline:
Serious MVA, December 2013
First visit to ER/MRI, October 2014
6 days later, T12-L1 hemilaminectomy, microdiscectomy
11 days post op, 2nd ER visit
One month later, T12-L1 fusion with hardware,(Hell Week)
6 months later, L3 epidural steroid injection
I didn't initially have pain symptoms in that area. Once I figured out my symptoms, they were severe radiculopathy into my left foot; subsequently, I had left foot drop. Then the final straw was bladder Incontinence. I was diagnosed with Cauda Equina syndrome at T12-L1 due to disc herniation causing mass effect on spinal canal, L2-L3 small disc herniation and bulging discs at L3-L4 and L5-S1. I wish I were making this up! And I'm only 24 years old!
I still feel like I'm in the spinal fusion post op period.
