Hello everyone, 17 year old male here who was quite the idiot today on the beach. I was running towards the water and I thought the water got deeper quicker than it actually did so when I was running into the sea I dived at about just above knee high water face first into the sea bed. In the process I bent my back pretty bad. This happened about 10 hours ago and my lower back is very painful as I try bend down and straighten up again also hurts a little bit when I walk.
The pain is middle lower back along the spine and just to the left and right of it. I can bend up and down but it just hurts to do so. I'm new to injuries, never have had a bad one before in my life so I'm completely open to any opinions, suggestions for exercises and what you would call this type of pain (spinal bruising etc). I'm fairly sure I'll be ok but better safe than sorry so I thought I would ask you guys.
If your pain persists and you are worried I suggest you see your doctor.
