    Hey there,

I too am 7 weeks post op. I started back to work yesterday (desk job) and it seemed to have pushed my limits.

I'm having a lot of left foot and left leg pain, some of which is the old familiar sciatic pain and some new. My foot deals pretty raw, like I've had a bike accident that scraped up my skin or something. Very sensitive and painful, wearing sandals isn't comfortable at all.

The sciatic pain comes and goes. I think its due to muscle tightness. I was told a while back that your hammys and gluts can squeeze/pinch the nerve because it goes through the overlaps in those muscles. I've found that light stretching does help. I sit in my recliner, lean all the way back, cross the offending leg, and ease up to a upright sitting position. It doesn't feel like its pulling on any back muscles, just my hammy/gluts.

Overall I'm still in pain and also have thoughts that the surgery was useless. Ive read lots of posts saying the same thing. So "normal" is hard to define, but I think what you are experiencing is common. Good luck.
