I have waited months to see a neurologist. Finally saw one. As soon as I sat down he asked me why I was there because the doctors told him everything was clear . I told him my symptoms. He wrote things on a notebook.
He told me my brain scan was clear. I told him it wasn't my brain that was the problem , it was my spine.
He then scan read the MRI result and said, you have a few bulges that wouldn't cause the problems that you describe, I am going to send you for nerve testing and maybe get you on something stronger than what you're on.
I am really confused. It says in my MRI I have 2 central prolapsed discs in my neck with osteophytes and near the anterior aspect of my spinal cord, an annular torn disc with some nerve compression in lumbar, spondylolisthesis, nerve exit foramens are narrow. Is all of this nothing?
I am in agony, struggling to walk , knees buckling, hands killing me.. I ache moving hands and legs, am off balance, numb hands.. I could go on and on.
I feel like crying. What do I do now?
I said, so it isn't arthritis then? He laughed and said 'you're a bit young for arthritis don't you think?' - I am 31.
