It's been a long time...couldn't get on with my old profile but I was Meydey321 back in the day. Just want to say hi to those who remember me and introduce myself to the new spineys here. Still have ongoing issues with chronic pain but I'm still kicking. I have new problems..possible lumbar stenosis or SI dysfunction. MRI and epidural injection coming soon. I experienced severe pain and numbness in my lower back with horrible spasms like never before. Walking is a problem..my legs feel like I'm walking through water and have sensations of numbness, tingling, burning, weakness, etc. Pain in my lower back worsens when I walk. It gets more complicated because I already have nerve damage in one leg so it's hard to tell which is which. This onset is new to me compared to my usual symptoms. It eased up with treatment at the ER when I could bear no more. It feels a bit better when I sit or lay down, but then again when I sit I always have discomfort. Feel worse when I drive or have to walk around for an extended period of time. My meds were increased thank goodness, otherwise I could not function at all and I can't afford to be bedridden. I just want to be at my "normal".
