Hello to you all, I am Lorelei2u brand new to this site!

I came upon this great site today after having my very first Lumbar Medial Branch Block! I was curiously looking for information to tell me if how and what I was feeling was normal after my injection procedure!? Needless to say I was drawn right in seeing so many posts that I related to! I'm very anxious to hang around and get acquainted and see what everyone has to say :)
Just briefly..... I have problems from the cervical area of my spine all the way through the Lumbar region due to many and varied reasons the longest one being from having polio as an infant when there was an epidemic in our town in 1950! The rest of my issues stem from many injuries, sports related and car accidents etc! Now I have Post Polio Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, mild to severe osteoarthritis, peripheral neuropathy and carpal tunnel syndrome etc! So yes I am in chronic PAIN and deal with the daily problems that come with that. I'm sure if you're a member here you understand better than anyone so I feel like I happened to land in the right place to find caring, understanding, like minded, people to talk to share information with and in general just enjoy connecting with! BI hope that through some of my own issues and experiences that I'll be able to not only get support but also give as much as I can as well as contribute my knowledge to help others! It's great to be here so far and I look forward to getting to know you all!!
I'm 65 and widowed living in Southern California USA. One of my children lives here with me and helps me out when I need it and I have two little dogs and one old cat! Thanks for letting me share ;)

    Nice to meet you!
But sorry for the pain that brought you here.

I'm glad you found this site! It does have great members with lots of understanding. I've learned so much!

Wanted to bring to your attention that there is a __ search__ on this site, upper right on page.
Type in your concerns and you may be led to older posts, articles, and or videos with a lot of information.
I esp like the videos and the video library is huge!

Often times when I search, I find I have more questions. Sometimes, I will continue to search and or ask members...
but usually my questions, I write down to take to doctor.

Initially, I didn't even know what to ask doctor. I was in so much pain I just wanted it to stop.
I'm now with pain subsided, thanks to my pain management doctor.
Daily meds to keep the edge off pain. Pain is never completely gone, but for my situation, I don't expect that.
Breakthrough meds are for the worse days or pain flares.

My goal and doctor's goal mainly to keep me out of the ER, so that goal accomplished and that's a big yay for me!
