Hi, I have an inflamed S1 nerve root after a microdiscectomy and over the last week or so have developed extreme pain in my coccyx - could they be related ? Can an S1 nerve root inflammation cause coccyx pain ? This is really unbearable .. :-(

  • If you search my post history I went through exactly the same thing after a MircoD. Mine did go away after time, I hope yours does as well.

    MircoD of L4-S1 on 3/5/2014

MRI stating either re-herniation or post-op granulation tissue- 5/16

    Re-herniation confirmed, ESI on 5/29
