5 months ago I was doing light excercises at the gym, 3 days later I had a sharp pain on my left lower back only when sitting. I didn't think much of it , although I stopped going to the gym, I exercised at home. Every month that went by the pain spread throught my lower back. i went to my dr and he said its my muscles and prescribed me muscle relaxants.
i can't bent forward it hurts my back , but bending back and to the sides I have no pain. Recently I have been getting tingling/numbing feeling in my feet and a dull ache from my lower back to my knees, but it last about 5 sec. I searched and came across sciatica but from what I have read sciatica pain is like a burning sharp pain, mine is like a crampy feeling. Anyways After a month i went back to my Dr. he told me to get a Xray on my lower back, which came back as normal (as in no arthritis) he said it could be a pinched nerve and scheduled a MRI for me. there is a long wait list for the MRI (2 months) .
At this moment I can't sit for more than 5 min with ought a sharp pain in my lower back. I have been taking anti-inflamattory meds and muscle relaxant. I have been doing excercises for herniated discs and sciatica but it seems it calms down my pain in my lower back but this numbing/tingling/crampy feeling is worse!
Also when I lift my legs up 90 degrees and when I get someone to push my feet towards me , throught the back of my legs gets very tight , to the point of a cramped up feeling.
- sorry if im rambling on, i am new here any help or ideas would be great
Do you guys have any idea what this could be ? Or if you have the same symptoms , has anything helped with the pain managment? ***********************
