I am 18 years old, and this has been happening for the past 7 months now. I haven't had any X Rays yet, I'm going to within the next month. I have a very deeply curved arch in my back. I'm 5'5 140 lbs. I have been to the doctors but I feel since I am so young they don't think anything is wrong. They tell me to just stretch and prescribe me pain meds. I'm at 2 weeks with 0% progress. I went to a chiropractor, (2 months ago. 1 session) who told me my back was healthy, but I regret going as I feel he has made my back worst. Exercising is a definite no. Long walks around the grocery store? Forget it. I've put the military on hold as I know I can't make it through boot camp in my current position.. I cannot sit for long periods of time without moving everywhere because it's so uncomfortable staying in one position. I am constantly holding my lower back, bending over, (as I feel stretching out the curve alleviates pain, but does not mask completely)
Could someone please give me some insight on what they think could be wrong? Do I just need to stretch? I've been told to just build up the muscles and I'll be ok... But you can put your hand on my lower back and physically FEEL the popping / occasionally hear it. The pain? I would rate a 7 when I feel it.
