I know everyone is different, and we all have different pain.. But a little about me.. 2011 I got pneumonia and the flu, it turned into MRSA in my lung. 3 chest tubes, PICC line. Sent home that way, after 35 days in the hospital, 4 days on a vent awake. etc. .. Nerve damage is unbearable. I did nerve blocks and epidural injections they didnt do too much. I didnt do pain meds, I just tried to deal with it. Ive had the SCS for three months, I have had about 90% relief, I seem to feel stiff now in the morning, aching where they battery is, and sometimes still some post op pain on my spine where the scar is. Nothing crazy where I am really concerned.
Like I said, we are all different, I have a friend who has the device and doesn't have it turned up past 1.3, Mine are at 4.3 and 6.3. My rep didn't say anything to make me feel alarmed(I am out of town and used a rep in another state, so she doesn't have a connection to me) But I was wondering if there are a lot of you guys who have it that high and can bare it? Its on all the time, that high except when I sleep. Trial I couldnt get past 1...
Than there is charging. How often do you charge? I have the Medtronic MRI safe one. I seem to charge once a week. I get paranoid it will die. It takes a lot longer than I thought it would, even though I red it could take up to 12 hrs, I charge it in about 4 -6. I have trouble getting it in the right spot. I feel dumb that I cannot find the right spot, any advice for that?
Any advice for a newbie would be great. I am new to all this, its a tad bit overwhelming. Specially for someone who travels for a living.. Carrying all that stuff and having to remember it is still hard for me. (bad memory)
