Lower back problem

Another ? If the MRI report doesn't say nerve impingement is it then just up for the professionals interpretation. I don't understand how a neurologist can say yes they are pressing on nerves and ortho-spine surgeon says he doesn't see that at all. Sorry I am very new to all of this.Any info much appreciated

Please know that we as members can not comment on any MRI findings or their interpretations.

As you can see, the doctors often don't agree among themselves.
MRI impressions are not a diagnosis.
It is one of the tools used by doctor to determine how to best treat you.
And there are other tests that are helpful also, not just an MRI.

My PM/ neurologist always looks at CD himself....doesn't just read impressions.
He will be mostly talking to himself out loud, about what was missed, what was stated and does not show, how impression is contradicting itself,......

So, with doctors disagreeing....I just wait and listen to my main PM doctor whom I've grown to trust more and more.

When I search I usually find I have more questions. Sometimes I continue search.
But usually I write down questions to bring to doctor.
