Neck surgery

I had a micro and then C5C6 fused and Im left with chronic pain,the neurosurgeon wants to fuse my whole neck ,
has anybody gone through this operation who can tell me how it was ?

  • Why does he want to fuse your whole neck? That seems so extreme. I would think there are other less invasive things to try first. Sorry you're still in pain. I had C 4/5 fused 14 weeks ago and I too am still in pain. But my NS made it clear to me it could take a whole year for everything to recover and see the results of the fusion. So I continue to try to be patient. If I'm still in this much pain in a year, then we will talk about what is causing the pain.
    How long ago was your fusion!
