After seeing an orthopedist for back pain he ordered several tests. First xrays, then an MRI on everything but my toes . . . not really, just cervical, thoracic and Lumbar. When I went to get those results he ordered more neck xrays on the spot and told me I have myelomalacia. I understand that it is softening of the spinal cord and can't be reversed. He told me I would need surgery, ordered a cat scan and and told me to come back in two days and to bring my husband. I can't seem to find out much other than how to diagnosis and associated symptoms. Anyone have this?
