I woke up one day last October with severe pain in my neck, left shoulder blade and left arm with severe burning pain. I finally had an MRI done after physical therapy and meds didn't work. I have degenerative disc disease and a bulging disc in my c5-c6 area and a large herniated disc in my c6-c7 area. The pain has been constant but at times would get really severe. Just last week I started having shooting and burning pain in my right arm, both legs and feet, and back. The pain is not constant like my left side but it's becoming more and more painful and frequent.
I've been reading online and the pain I'm having isn't related to cervical spine herniated disc. Anyone else experience this?
I will be having ACDF surgery in three weeks. How long did you stay out of work? Was it painful afterwards? My neurosurgeon looked at me weird when I told him about my new symptoms. Please help. Thanks!
