What causes calcification at base of neck an skull base?

Hello All,
This is my first post. I have yet to be diagnosed, and am literally going crazy because I am in severe pain about 6/7 days a week. My nights are sleepless and my days are pain filled. Thus farm I have had a ct of neck and head that was normal with the exception of "possible" compression issues. This was at ER. Also, blood work shows a positive RH factor. My dad and mom both suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. I am 39 and female. I went to a chiropractor and had xrays taken, showing a curvature of my spine and straightening of my neck. Mom also has scoliosis. I went to a pain management doc and had my 4th trigger point injection today. It was a set of shots in my upper neck/lower head. There was crackling and I heard calcification breaking up. I am in so much pain now. Even more than I'm used to. Doc states that my level of calcification is significant and at least ten years old, corresponding with an auto accident. He says it is a result of untreated whiplash. Has anyone had similar presentations? Nobody seems to be connecting the dots and I'm suffering tremendously. I am a waitress by the way. I have spasms in neck and head and in my back. They are most severe under shoulder blades and in upper neck and shoulders causing me terrible headaches . Any ideas of what I should pursue, type of doc to see? What the hell is wrong with me and how do I get help/healed? I can;t take this.
