I am a 39 yo female. In 2011, I had ACDF at C6-7 after 3 years of reoccurring symptoms. In March of 2015 after an exercise session, I started to show similar signs and immediately went to Primary and was referred for an MRI, pain specialist, and a Neurosurgeon. MRI showed herniation with bleeding or hemorrhage at C5-6 along with a minor herniation at C4-5. Spinal compression at C5-6 is at 5.5mm but did not show severe nerve root impingement. Pain/symptoms at the time of exam in June was only on the left side. I am scheduled for two level ACDF surgery in mid-September. After some yard work last week - I've noticed a major increase in numbness, tingling in both arms and hands, Along with pins/needles (electrical shock) randomly in shoulder along with a stinging pain down my arm from my shoulder, and now muscle twitching in my arms, collar bone and legs - to the point it keeps me awake or wakes me up. I also get a burning sensation in my spine from my neck to mid back and
Also headaches I like to call 'zingers' just above my ear.- like electrical shocks.
Ten years ago I had Intracranial Hypertension- after a spinal tap to relieve the pressure I had to get the blood patch because they tap created a hole. I now have that same type headache for two weeks where it feels like your brain is being pulled backwards and my eyes balls are gonna pop out - only relief is laying flat. Much like a severe migraine without the sensitivity to light and noise .
Has anyone ever had a hemorrhage on top of a cervical disc herniation?
With increase of symptoms, could spinal compression or nerve impingement be increasing in severity?
