Hello. To introduce myself, I'm John. I'm a 51yo man, 5'10", 185, with a background in weightlifting. I have spondylolisthesis at L5-S1, diagnosed 6 years ago. I have total numbness and tingling on my entire left leg/foot when standing or walking; continous hip pain from the nerve, tightness/spasms in my low back. I've had epidural cortisone, vicodin, flexeril for a few years before coming to surgery. I'm lucky to have found two Neurosurgeons at in New York to preform a PLIF (only posterior) scheduled for November 11, 2015. I intend to join the November Surgery Buddy group when it becomes open. I've read many of the posts here and everyone I've found are having Anterior with Posterior, which was suggested to me several years ago. I'm curious to that mine is now only Posterior, of course I'll ask my surgeons. Good to say hello! Welcome to Spine-Health
