damaged lumbar facet & artrosis

I had an accident at work 16 mths ago where I damaged my back. It has taken this long for me to get to the route of the problem. I have had an MRI and have found I have lumbar facet joint damage & arthrosis of L2-L4. I am awaiting to have pain relief spinal blocks.

At present I have a cough and chest infection from camping in the great British summer. It was only at lunchtime that I realised I hadn't been to the toilet yet. Had a big cough and wet myself. Not a dribble a proper trip to the toilet worth. I have had shooting pains in my left leg all week and thought this may be the start of sciatica.

Does anyone know if these are related or whether the bladder loss was just a freak accident ? I have not and am unable to go to the toilet since. With the cold I haven't drank that much over the last 24hrs.

I am 38, female, mum of two if that makes a difference.
