I have a L5 Stress fracture for almost a year now, I got an MRI and XRAY, it didn't really show then It was seen on my bone scan, my doctor told me to wear a special brace, I have been wearing it for 8 weeks and I feel much better, he says I should start physical therapy but the thing is I can still feel the sharp pain in my back, I don't think it is fully healed yet, I heard a stress fracture might take 12 weeks to heal, I am 18, I really want to get back into soccer, how bad are stress fractures? Will it ever heal, please answer.
