k a little of my back history i had a microdisctomy in 2007 at the l4l5 and after surgry i walked around and yada yada anyways everytime i woke up from laying down and waking up the pain was so bad and i was so stiff. back in apirl of this year i hernated at the l5-s1 and the stiffenes went away the mri showed i should have been in extream pain but wasnt so bad had another microdistomy and 2 weeks ago and now evertime i move my lower back pops hard to sleep and when i wake up i am in so much pain and so so stiff i want to kill my self cause it hurt so bad why is that? any ideas what i can do?


  • Sorry, I'm a c-spiney so I don't have experience with lumbar stuff, but it sounds like you need to call your doctor and tell him what you are feeling. The popping could just be the facet joints sliding back and forth or something like that. But the degree of your pain sounds worrisome, so call your doctor tomorrow. In the meantime, try alternating heat and ice to get you through the night. Or even soaking in the tub may help to relax you.
