Received my 5th spinal injection

Friday morning at 7:30. Woke up in recovery very nauseous, close to vomiting sick. Nurse had to give me Zofran but it didn't help so next was phenergan. That helped. Got home around 9:30. Slept off and on all day. Injection really helped my sciatica but I've woke up this morning with a sickening terrible headache. :-( .Last two have given me a terrible headache.

  • What saved me was ice on and off every 15 minutes on the injections sites and Ice on base of neck.

I take Celebrex every morn for inflammation, no other ibuprofen. For me taking two ibuprofen every 6 hours and copious amounts of caffeine helped me to sleep.

I had the headache for about four days constant and with the remedy could keep at 2 pain level if I stayed on my game.

If the headache I thought for a second was gone..in shower, when it returned it did with a pain of 9. So stay up on trying to not get to that. At 9 I almost was taken to hospital but with dr on phone and these remedies finally am pain free of headache. Hope this helps.

Call ur doctor for sure before you do any new medications, I'm not a doctor obviously. My doctor did this for me. Wishing you comfort.
  • My heart goes out to you. Sounds like you have a spinal headache. Hang in there- try a soft ice pack over your forehead. That has helped me get through those.
