Getting out of bed not using log roll

So, it's been 4 days since my SCS Surgery and I still have too much pain to do the log roll. I sleep on an incline since I can't yet lie flat in bed, so I just sit up the rest of the way and then kind of swing my legs off of the bed(while not twisting my body) and get out of bed like that. I know the paddles are sewn to my spine, but I'm still wary of messing something up in there.
