Posterior cervical Foraminotomy and laminectomy at c6-c7

Just wondering if anyone else has had a recent posterior cervical laminectomy. Most of the posts on S-H are over a year old. Just had my 4th neck surgery on August 13, 2015. I've been suffering with severe right trap, shoulder blade and entire right arm pain for 3 years. This most recent posterior cervical laminectomy was my third attempt to correct this problem. I'm 4 weeks post surgery and have no improvement whatsoever. Occasionally, the pain will shift to my left arm, but the pain is primarily on my right side. Surgeon said this is normal. Normal? The whole purpose of removing the lamina is to relieve pressure on the nerve! I feel I should have had immediate relief. The nerve pain is just as bad as before the surgery. I've recently started physical therapy, which seems to have made the pain even worse. Has anyone else experienced this dilemma and if so, what was done to correct it?
