Hello everyone my name is Marvin and I am a MMA Fighter. A couple months ago I was involved in a bad accident that left me temporarily paralyzed due to a blow to the head from a throw in wrestling/jiu jitsu practice. I was thrown and I landed forehead first on the mat without bracing myself. My body was sent into shock while I was still concious. Several minutes later an immense pain throughout my body emerged that even a graze of my wifes hair would have me screaming in pain. I was diagnosed with a hyperextended neck; the injury was located between C5 -C6 with a slight bulging in my disc and bruised vertebrae. I was unable to walk for a day, but unable to use my arms. Slowly my strength came back and now I'm back to full motion. I am still in the process of recovery having took an MRI two days ago because I have tingly/numb feelings in my arms and hands. I have weakness on my left arm and every time I look down I feel the tingly feeling rush through my arms and hands. Besides anti-inflammatory pills, what are things that I can do to better my condition? Also what could be the causes of these tingly feelings. My follow up with my neurologist is in the near future, I just want to be more informed about C5 C6 neck injuries.
Thanks guys any information you might have could help me understand what I'm feeling.**************************************
