I was injured at work over 2 years ago. I complained about neck & left shoulder pain. I had mri's of both & doctors told me that my shoulder was fine. They just gave me injections in my shoulder & sent me to spine doctor for c4/5 herniation.
After 2 neck surgeries, I was still complaining of shoulder pain. It was preventing me from sleeping & I couldn't use my left arm.
I finally found a new orthopedic doctor & sent him all my records. He showed me on the mri report that it said "suspicious of a tear". He sent me for an Arthrogram & it confirmed that I had a full rotator cuff tear.
I'm not saying that's what is going on with you. But, I would talk to your doctor about this.
When you go for therapy on your neck, your shoulders will be getting a workout too.
  • Can I ask, please - did you have an anterior or posterior approach to your surgery?
    How are your shoulders today?
