7 years ago I found out I had a broken vertebrae. I went through the physical therapy. Didn't help. I was seen at They wouldn't operate because I was 17yrs old, no pain meds either. So I tried epidural treatment. The guy giving my third and final shot, missed and hit a nerve. I was in the hospital for a week after that , put on a morphine PCA pump and it didn't do a thing. (I have a natural tolerance to pain medication... Go figure right?) After that I participated in a pain management program. Non-narcotics worked for a while and then I built up a tolerance. Then they tried pin point injections. Those worked great up until.... you guessed it! Tolerance. For seven years I have been in constant pain. At times, like when I've had multiple kidney stones, kidney infections, and my gall bladder stopped functioning (welcome to my world. Oh I'm also allergic to shoes.... Yeah chew on that for a minute...)the pain then, didn't bother me that much and I haven't had much of a reprieve until now. Now my back is screaming, I can hardly walk. My hands and feet are going numb. I can't sleep. It hurts to move, breathe.... Do I go back to the ER for the fourth time in 2 months? Do I ride it out? I need advice. Heat doesn't help and neither does naproxen, aleve, ibuprophen, I feel trapped help!Welcome to Spine-Health
