Transformal Epidural Steroid Injection

I have posted before about my herniated L4 /S1 disc, I was diagnosed in July. I had severe leg pain and sciatica for about a month. Now I have burning pain anywhere from a 3 to a 6 on the pain scale, in my ankle and taking 600 mg of gabepentin daily. I
I had an ESI last Friday. The doctor is telling me it can take from 7-10 days to work. I am at 5 days now and haven't felt much if any relief.

How long does it normally take for an ESI to kick in?

to how long it takes to work.
I would say that 4-7 days you should see some improvement, or perhaps none.

The first 24-72 hours you may be a bit sore.
Then from that 4 day on mark, hopefully you will notice something.

I've had many ESI's, some that I felt results within a couple of days (positive) and those that did not help at all.
