Hi...So, I recently herniated two discs in my lower back and they are pinching the nerve. I've had these problems with my low back, hip, and sciatic area where I would occasional get bad pains and inability to walk correctly or bend to the right side. This started in high school, the first episode I remember happened during gym class running the mile. I was bout 15 then and I am now 25. I always would just go to the chiropractor without getting any MRIs or medication, just icing it and getting an adjustment. I had some other health issues at the time and the back pains were put on the back burner. About a little over a week ago, I went to the chiropractor for the usual and about half an hour after I got home the pain got so severe I couldn't move. I couldn't stand, sit, walk, or just shift position without screaming and crying. I had to be strapped to a board and taken down three flights of stairs to go to the hospital. After being treated like a addict looking for drugs, all they did was xray me and give me ibuprofen. I consulted with a back and spine specialist and went in for an MRI. I had my follow up today and got an epidural steroid injection, oxycodone as needed, flexeril, and a script for physical therapy to help put off a possible micro discectomy. This has all been so frustrating and irritating. I'm not new to chronic pain (I have endometriosis). All I want is to at least be able to go to the bathroom by myself. Anyway, hello everyone. I will probably be posting some questions here and there. Any words of support or advice is appreciated.
