Hello, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
About a month ago i had fusion surgery, T3 to L3, and since my spine is fused, i can't breathe in as much as i used to be able to.
I never noticed before (as i'm sure most people wouldn't) that when you breathe deeply, your spine moves slightly to accomodate.
Now i can only breathe in about 80% (?) as much.
If anyone else has had this happen, does the ribcage eventually compensate by stretching out?
Also, an amusing sidenote, i haven't sneezed since the op, partly i think because i can't breathe in far enough to get that tickle needed. Although i'm kinda grateful for this at the moment because sneezing would hurt a lot right now.
Thanks for reading.
