I have lower back pain and pain down each leg when I get up in the morning. Some days the pain is worse, some days its not as bad.
Usually I put on a hot water bottle on my lower back. While the sensation feels good when applying, I really don't know if it helps
much? However, as the day proceeds, the pain does tend to lessen, sometimes it feels as if its almost totally gone. Then I go to sleep
and wake-up the next day and the pain is right there again and the process starts over. This has been happening for several months.
I have tried exercising, sleeping on different types and of firm mattresses and nothing seems to work! I did have back surgery/fusion/
disc removal/sciatic pain relief about seven years ago that went quite well...no problems until recently.
I would like to ask if anyone on this website has had something similar to my situation, and if so, what things did you try to solve the
issue? I am also looking for any suggestions that the members might feel helpful. I am going to see my regular doctor this week to
discuss this matter with him. I expect he will either refer me to physical therapy or a pain doctor (Physiatrist?) If there is anything I
should try at home that I have not previously done, I am certainly open to any and all suggestions.
For those members that respond, I would like to deeply thank you for your efforts in advance.
