Failed Foraminotomy

I had a minimally invasive bilateral foraminotomy at C5/6 and C6/7 last year. There was a blissful 50 minutes oin the recovery room where my hands felt completely normal with no pain whatsoever. However after that time the constant ache returned and very quickly was back to a full medication ppostion. I am currently taking 8 50mg Tramadol, 8 500mg paracetamol and up to 16 30mg codeine with a small dose of amytryptiline to keep it under control. Unfortunately thisis not enough and theppain breaks through constantyly. The MRIs after the op appear to show the foramina are clear but there is some compression on the spinal cord due to the herniated discs. As a result my spinal neurosurgeon is proposing to replace both discs at this level. Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation and is there any other procedure that could be tried? Becoming ver down about this as the pain is waking me every night withburning hands at least twice and also breaking through in the day. I have never had neck pain only severe radiculopathy on both arms, both carpal tunnels ghave been released in earlier ops.

Any advice would be appreciated.
