For as long as I can remember I've always been a worrier. Over the last year or so it seemed to get worse with extra stress issues relating to life at home, my job, my health etc...
About 4 months ago I plucked up the courage, well cried my eyes out to my doctor about how I was feeling. At first he was quite unhelpful just telling me things will get better. Finally last month he prescribed me propranolol 10-20mg when required. This really took the edge off but yesterday I went to see him again and he's upped the dose to 40mg.
I now take one in the morning, one at night and then when required throughout the day if I need to.
Today I've taken 3 40mg doses and hardly feel better at all. I can tell it's going to be a sleepless night.
I worked as a pharmacy dispenser so my job is fairly stressful.
Just wondering if anyone else deals with anxiety and how they manage to cope?
Anyone taken propranolol for anxiety attacks?
I'm aware how the drug works, just looking for a few person reviews.
He did talk about giving me 80mg modified release but let's see how I get on first!
I know it's probably not fair to comment yet but after today I really feel like they're doing nothing!
Urgh, just so fed up of feeling stressed, like my head won't switch off!
