My old spine specialist always used to say "it's ONLY back pain." It infuriated me. Until now, when I'm having tingling and pain in my legs that I never had before. Which means one of two things, either my looming mother in law visit is causing stress like never before, or my back has worsened and fusion surgery will happen sooner rather than later. We'll wait on the CT results to say for sure.
At any case, if I do end up having fusion sooner rather than later, how long should my hubby expect to need to take off work, approximately, during the "I can't do anything for myself" phase?
Another important question, and I should really know the answer having been on this board so long. How long after fusion surgery (two levels) before 1) I'll be comfortable having relations with my hubby and 2) I won't have to worry about said relations hurting the fusion?
Finally, assuming a positive surgery outcome, am I correct in thinking we need to wait two years before trying to get pregnant? That last question is important because I'm about to be 32.
Such a tame subject line.....
