Well all I can say is here we go again! I'm back to the surgery buddies page. I know what to expect and shouldn't feel nervous, but I hardly slept last night and I just want it to be over. Each surgery means more scar tissue to move around and potential for complications. I had a spinal fluid leak during my last surgery, but I am hoping that doesn't happen again. If anyone has questions about microdiscectomy recovery I'd be happy to answer them.
Life has been really hard lately and I've been down in the dumps. I decided to do something special for myself- I am getting a kitten to lift my spirits. He will be coming a week after surgery when I am more mobile. House is kitten proofed and I bought lots of toys I can use while resting on the couch. 4 surgeries in 5 years has been exhausting. I can't control a lot of things that have happened, but I can add a bubbly new pet to the mix and that's sure to bring some joy.
Good luck to everyone having surgery and recovering.
