Rear ended and pain in lower back where fusion was done.

Hello! I was rear ended 7 days ago, Pain in area of back lower back fusion surgery L5-S1. Having pain sitting, driving car, hurts when getting up. Pain on both sides , goes around in front and down front of leg with constant pain that also goes down my leg call dr. His only response was to take muscle relaxers and gave me a steroid pack , did nothing. Called Dr again has not been able to see me, supposedly always at hospital and can't get a response. Can anyone help to tell me what is going on. Thanks so much
