affording my zohydro

i take zohydro,,,,40 mgs four times daily as well as hydro ir,,,but my queastion is,,, well my copay is 135.00 a month for this drug and am having a hard time affording it ,,does anybody know of any discount programs or coupons,,i had one awhile back that was for 30 dollars but it only worked if you didnt have any insurance,, i currently have medicare and that is all,, but i do get extra help with my prescripsion coverage,,,but 135 a month is hard to deal with and am missing meals,,,am i going to have to have my doctor write me some scripts for morphine which i can get for 10 dollars and can i talk him into it,,i know they get kickbacks for prescribing certian meds from the pharm. companies but i cant afford this stuff any longer and am scared what to do ,,, please any info would be a help,,like other organiztions that help pay for your meds or such,,please help

    ZoHydro is expensive. It costs me about $400 each month. If you need to switch because of cost let your doctor know. He will likely suggest an Oxycodone or Oxymorphone compilation. If those don't work out you there are the long acting Fentanyl, Hydromorphone and Methadone formulations and even long acting Morphine tablets.

    I don't envision ZoHydro coming down in price anytime soon. If you need to switch talk to your doctor sooner rather than later. In my case I hit my insurance max so the cost no longer mattered. Good luck.
