Distraction pain from ACDR C6/7

Hi all,

I had an ADCR C6/7 about 16 days ago. I woke up from surgery with intense pain in the back of my neck, right around C6/7 area. It hurt like hell for two solid weeks. It's starting to calm down but it is still super sore and tight back there around C6. My surgeon said it was pain from distraction of the joint and graft distraction. He told me it will get better in a month. Did anyone else have a similar experience? Whew!!! This has been rough!!!
