Twitching leg

Dear spineys.
I have a long thread on my struggles with foot drop and was decompressed July 20th 2014. (20 days after my foot went dead) I've busted my butt in physio/yoga and lost 40 pounds eating well and going to spin. My back is better, but my leg can be a real pain. Cramps, twitching and stiffness keep me awake at night. If I move or wake up a bit it will tighten and contort so that I need to stand on it to straighten it to go back to sleep. I'm going to get a tens unit to see how that will help. I'm not on any medication for this. The burning sensations have gone from when the nerve was originally flattened so I have a numb leg with tight and limited mobility in my foot. The cold really hinders mobility too.. So I sleep with a heat pack. Any and all suggestions will be entertained. Love to all!

I too have recently had worsening cramping of legs and esp feet....with feet and toes getting all contorted..unbelievable positions!

I too recently started using heating pad and find I move it all around to the painful areas, and the cramping areas.
It does lessen pain for me for awhile.

After having epidurals for it, and they worked maybe 30% lessening cramping.
Somewhat lessened the feet becoming crazy contorted positions, but not enough, so doctor started me on bacolofen 5mg 2x/day.
I know...yet another med....but it has helped considerably.
