Completely numb down left leg below knew after fusion L4-L5

Happy New Year! I am exactly 3 weeks post op and have had numbness down my left leg since the surgery. Also now I am having shooting pain across my hip into my groin and down my right leg. I feel like I may have done too much too quickly after surgery because of the holidays, but has anyone experienced this. Not to mention the muscle spasms across my lower back when trying to stand up. I know we all heal differently, but I'm hoping that this pain will dissipate soon. I can barely walk. I do my treadmill for 10-15 minutes at a time. I'm more miserable now than I was pre-op. I see my neurosurgeon this week and will hopefully get some answers.
