Scared of Steroid injections

My Dr. Wants me to start getting injections in my back. Can anyone please tell me about there experience with injections? I am very scared of this with my back problems. I have spinal stenosis with bone spurs. This causes pain, weakness, and numbness to my left leg. Any input would be appreciated....thanks.

Take a look at this information Epidural Steroid Injections

The procedure is not really painful as long as it is done correctly. If you search these forums , you will find people that had problems after their ESI, mostly stemmed from the way they were administred.

    Should be:

    • Sterile, operating room like environment
Vitals signs taken before and during the procedure
Nurse or other medical professional assisting the doctor
Use of X-Ray and/or Fluoroscopic device to assist the doctor with the exact placement of the needle
